Carter EnglandCarter England brings a strong background in finance and risk management to his role as Board Chair of the Shortleaf Pine Initiative (SPI). Raised on his family’s farm in Tennessee, Carter developed a deep appreciation for land, wildlife, and conservation that led him to help reestablish SPI as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 2024. With experience advising both private and nonprofit organizations, Carter has played a key role in shaping SPI’s strategy, building partnerships, and fueling its range-wide momentum. He is a certified prescribed burn manager and an advocate for reintroducing fire as a tool for healthy landscapes. Inspired by the quote, “The true meaning of life is to plant trees under whose shade you do not expect to sit,”Carter is committed to restoring shortleaf pine ecosystems and empowering landowners as conservation leaders. He lives in Huntsville, AL, with his wife, Allison, and their two boys. |
